play > : Obstacle 2

I'm gonna pull you in close gonna wrap you up tight
gonna play with the braids that you came here with tonight
I'm gonna hold your face and toast the snow that fell
because friends don't waste wine when there's words to sell

Been listening to Interpol all day while driving my gray matter to fumes as a result of prolonged exposure to my pretty macs. See? Can't even write coherently.

Activities du jour:

- Work on the DVD with the thousands of photos taken during the production. Typical Virgo-like perfectionism (read: need for neat organization and prettification of aforementioned photos to their full potential) dragging out project. Ashamed to admit how much time was spent going through my iPod’s 2200+ songs in order to find the perfect tracks for the soundtrack of *each* photo gallery. Good thing is, being a Virgo, already factored in extra time for potential delay and can positively predict copies of the DVD will indeed be ready to be handed out at Saturday’s wrap up party with cast and crew.

- Logging of countless tapes. Especially keen on editing the makeout scene in the forest and some bits from Rome in time for the party. Rather serendipitous email forwarded from M. (AD) about current “cult” objects in Japan. One of them was a white miniskirt. Has been running joke during the shoot that the film will indeed be successful in the land of Kurosawa (sacrilegious to mention him in this paragraph, actually) because of costume choices – i.e. Alice’s everpresent white tennis skirt that looks like the uniform of Japanese high school girls and, well, certain manga drawings (*wink wink*). Feminist beliefs going down the drain? Not really, since the only bodies somewhat exploited in the film are those of the two male leads. But I shouldn’t spoil it, right? Whole point of this was my current amusement at the potential trailer for the film, which will certainly make people think it’s one thing, when it’s just the opposite. Didn’t study communication for nothing.

- Dubbing tapes! Fun as usual! Hearing the tapes' audio as the two camcorders are doing their job not as much fun.The script’s lines will haunt me for the rest of my life. How many times have I heard them? And I haven’t properly begun the editing yet! Wish could undergo routine operations of selected memory cancellation in order to better cut the film. Wouldn’t it be marvelous to start with a fresh mind every time? Currently trapped in Groundhog Day-like scenario.
